Hello! Our names are Jodi and Scott Thomason. We were married in 1996 and have a son name, Tyler.  Recently, we welcomed our first grandson, Colton, into our lives. (He brings us such joy!) We were both born and raised in Peoria, IL. We enjoy hanging out as a family, watching movies on Netflix,  going to theaters, attending baseball games (Go Cardinals!), and the occasional weekend getaway to the larger nearby cities.

We opened Little Tykes Family Learning in 2001.  Over the next two years as our business grew, we needed a larger classroom for child care.  In 2004, we moved to our location on Route 91.  In 2010, we added an eight hundred square foot classroom to the back of our home.  This provided us with two classrooms, giving us a separate space our school age program.

Our classroom is beautifully designed and has a home-like feel.  We designed the space to feel comfortable, engaging, and ready to explore.  The windows  located around the classroom are hung low enough to allow even our older infants the opportunity to view nature.  The space has a neutral color palate to avoid overstimulation.  Our  learning centers are designed for exploration and suited for each age group.  Our open concept classroom has a kitchen and bathroom so to be fully functional, allowing for appropriate supervision at all times.

We have an expansive outdoor play space.  We go outside most days weather permitting.  Our playground has separated areas for various gross motor play.  Our infants have a separate play space designed for their exploration.  The two most popular areas are the Rainbow Systems play structure and digging pit.
